Their land, my land, was taken along with 98% (12 million acres) of Black-owned farm lands taken over a 100-year period. My grandparents said in the 1930s everyone was poor. New Deal \u0026amp; WWII policies created a middle-class white society while denying the majority of Black Americans wealth-building opportunities.
