Portrait of an elder Black man in red flannel, inspired by the artist’s grandfather. His white hair and brows are sculpted with raised palette knife texture. Behind him, real dollar bills are collaged with red text showing cotton prices, labor stats, and slavery’s economic legacy. A complementary palette of deep reds and currency green highlights a portrait that threads legacy through cotton, currency, and quiet dignity.
